Juniors DSM build
Well i have been collecting parts for my TSi for awhile now. well i starting from a non running TSi which sorta sucks, but i also glad is that i get to build a tsi for myself. but i have just been trying to buy parts that will get my car running but here is my list.
right now this is what i have:
N/T throttle body
UICP
510cc injectors
eBay 16g turbo(trying to look for a real 16g turbo)
underdrive pulley
ARP head studs
cometic headgasket
2g maf
2h hard intake pipe
rebuilt 1g head
engine gasket set
things i have to buy:
main and rod bearings
piston and rings
timing belt
MBC
ARP main studs
timing belt
walbro 255 fuel pump
AFPR
FMIC
3in exhaust
thinking about getting:
DSMlink or SAFC
GM MAFT
well ill post some pics tomorrow

Re: Juniors DSM build
the only thing i dont like about underdrive pulley's is they arent balanced to your specific crank so they can be harsh on them....
but otherwise im liking the list kiddo! if you go maft make sure to double with the safc....since maft is hard to tune without a second source!

Personally I would choose ECMlink over SAFC/MAFT. There is greater range of what you can do with it vs. the latter. So many more individual and different points to play with, and when you want to move bigger your have the room to grow. If your worred about cost, get v3 lite to start, as it is about the same, if not cheaper than getting a SAFC/MAFT combo. Then, if you decide to go bigger you can upgrade to full by paying the difference.

Re: Juniors DSM build
ecmlink is overrated....speed density all the way! its like 90 bucks plus shipping for a whole kit
Re: Juniors DSM build
SD run how? I am running (in a week) SD on mine via v3. That is the only way, besides ostrich or something right?

sd can be run off a gm maft or a ostrich stand alone....both work extremely well for a low budget builder man....
