finally found a keeper
So I have been just building and tinkering with my engine, 6 bolt turbo out of the gsx I sold! I cleaned it up put some stuffs on it...gates kevlar timing belt and such nothing huge right?
Well I came in contact with a dsmer selling a special car....for 900 bucks! It runs has some issues but nothing like my gsx had!
well here are some pictures of the engine after being cleaned up and some pics of the car!
hint...it's a 92 6/4 combo plymouth laser!
Now according to this guy....he states these are the issues he is having
- a weird knock in the engine (unconfirmed location probably either lifter tick or valve tap)
- for some reason he cut the harness off...(it's ok i still have my 91+ turbo harness on hand) UNHACKED
- window on passenger side is off track so the regulator needs to be replaced
- paint is horrible
- exhaust will need attention
their is probably more he hasnt told me yet....but not really worried about it! because for 900 bucks and a rare dsm...it is well worth it

Re: finally found a keeper
That's a damn good deal, get two more matching stock rims and you will have a really nice car! Which reminds me I seen a guy with a minivan he took those wheels off a laser and put them on the van!

Re: finally found a keeper
Nice manifold! As for the shaking, is it while you are braking, taking off, cruising or all the time? That's kind of what mine is doing, I'm starting with finishing the tune up, if not that clean the MAF, that don't work fuel filter. IF that don't work I'll sell it for what I can get out of it and buy a DSM!

Re: finally found a keeper
If it gets you where you need to go who cares right? It is a ford after all.
So is that motor ready to go when you get the car?

Like my thread on 1eights? It was just strange that you didn't post for some time. Hell, I might be gone for awhile in a month or so, might even have to sell the Lincoln and if I do I will be looking for a Eclipse spyder. But first a 4x4.
