Pounds of BOOST

Hey Im very new at all of this. I have a stock 90 talon awd turbo and am hearing rumors of some kind of tab that can be pulled from an ecm or something that will allow my car to run around 12 to 14 pounds of boost instead of the stock 8 to 10?????
